Planning Engineer Wanted

ABOUT THE POSITION

In this role, you will work with the team on analyses and planning related to fuel management. Your work includes evaluating fuel design proposals, reviewing suppliers' analyses, and conducting your own analyses to introduce new fuel or meet new requirements. You will compile reports and safety reviews, as well as handle regulatory notifications to ensure the fuel's usage. Additionally, you will plan and follow up on inspections and be responsible for keeping inspection programs up to date.

As a planning engineer, you will work on a project basis within the unit, where you will be responsible for coordinating the group and its work in projects related to, for example, the qualification of new fuel. This includes developing feasibility studies, decision-making documents, project documentation, and timelines.

The department plays a key role in the planning and management of fuel. The team's responsibilities entail a comprehensive assignment within fuel management, and more experienced employees often have functional responsibilities for specific areas. The work requires a combination of technical depth and broad knowledge of adjacent operational areas, as well as an understanding of how similar work is conducted at comparable facilities both nationally and internationally.

The position is located in a security-classified operation, which means that a security clearance will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

• Conduct analyses and evaluations of fuel and handle regulatory notifications
• Plan and follow up on inspections and ensure current inspection programs
• Lead and coordinate assignments and projects within fuel management
• Coordinate and report on audit work, analyses, and documentation

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Graduates in 2025 or already have a completed post-secondary engineering degree preferably focused on mechanical engineering, development engineering, technical physics, or chemistry
• Are used to working in a coordinating role and coordinating tasks according to a plan that others can also follow
• Are fluent in Swedish as this language is used in daily work, both in speech and writing
• Hold a Swedish citizenship as this is required to undergo the security clearance for the position

It is an advantage if you have work experience from a role as a project manager. Knowledge can be acquired through education, experience, or self-learning.
